Get Out Of The Situation

It's too easy to feel you're trapped.  It's too easy to feel like there are no options.  Often the thought of trying to get out of the situation brings on more fear than actually doing it.  I have experienced this firsthand many times in my life.

Sometimes to get out of the situation is the best thing you can do.  It is often the moment where you begin to see things differently in life.  I know it isn't easy.  I know the fears of how will I survive, how will I make it, where will my needs be met will surround you and attack from all fronts.

When you are in moments when you need to get out of the situation, do everything you can to prepare for it.  Sit down and focus on what is needed (if you have time to do this) and ask a trusted friend to allow you to bounce off ideas to them.  Embrace the ideas with action that are good and discard the ones that may not serve you well.

Make changes in your current life to start preparing for what you need to do.  They may be small steps but start taking steps.  You can do so in secret, if the situation warrants that.  Then when you're ready to get out of the situation, you will be several steps ahead in your journey.

Ask for help.  There is assistance out there from government agencies to churches and local organizations to even people that you know.  Be careful who you ask for help that you can trust them.  Sometimes people real close to you also are close to those that may be part of the situation you need to escape.

Whether it is a job, domestic violence, a bad marriage, or leaving parents and friends, sometimes in order to find your life, you have to be willing to give up your life.  I'm not going to tell you it is easy to get out of the situation.  I'm not going to tell you that you'll land perfectly with no issues to deal with, but sometimes you just have to be willing to take the jump.

No one can tell you how or when.  No one can give you the details.  No one can give you the details to go through with your escape.  Only you will be able to make those decisions.

Yes, it will take great courage to get out of the situation you are in, but you have the freedom to make that choice most likely.  It may not seem like you can make the choice, but by staying in the situation, you are choosing that over your freedom.

Find your courage and listen to your gut instincts.  Make your plans by start preparing today to do what you need to do.  Then, when you make the choice, muster up all the strength you can find and move forward out of that situation.

There is no reason why anyone needs to stay in a situation that is far beyond hope or harmful or detrimental to our health and well-being.  Yes, I know - the fear is great.  Yes, I understand the fear of taking action is like staring a giant warrior in the face.  I also know that once you've taken that step, the view in life will change.
