In my spare time, I create relaxing piano music, paint, and do healing bodywork that specializes in trauma recovery. In 1991, I was paralyzed from Conversion Disorder and now I have healed from it.
In 2010, I was a participant on the 200 Male Survivors episode of Oprah. It was a difficult and emotional day, but one where I was proud to stand with 200 other male survivors of child sexual abuse, proving that healing and surviving are possible.
In 2012, I was a guest on the Dr. Drew show concerning the Leroy, NY case. I was there to present what I had been through in regards to Conversion Disorder.
I am available for workshops, seminars and other speaking engagements. I have a desire to help others become all they can be regardless of the experiences they may have lived through in their life.
Please help support me and my endeavors by purchasing my book and my relaxing piano music.

Books By Don Shetterly
In 1991, Don Shetterly found himself caught in a medical nightmare that felt like it would never end. A mysterious condition suddenly came on that left him paralyzed – unable to walk and barely able to speak. Pseudoseizures, a multiple sclerosis misdiagnosis, and multiple emergency room and doctor visits left his family wondering how to help him. Available on Amazon in digital or paperback form.
Hope And Possibility Through Trauma is my way of putting together the pieces of my life after the paralysis of Conversion Disorder. While this is not a direct account of all that I went through, the words here do form a picture of hope and possibility through trauma. These writings depict the path of healing in my life. Available on Amazon in digital or paperback form.
