Fear Of New Beginnings

New beginnings in life can be scary and full of challenges. We are so familiar with what we know in life, that the unknown and the unfamiliar are strangers to us. It is like we are traveling into a foggy night. It is a road we have never traveled. Often, our fears seem insurmountable.

Without new beginnings, our life would become dull and boring. We would not grow and evolve the way we were meant. We would be sitting on the sidelines staring at what was taking place, rather than being part of life.

Sometimes we feel pulled and pushed in certain directions. While these influences may be noble and positive, they may be holding us back in our lives. These influences can come in many shapes and sizes. It is up to each one of us to determine where we will place our feet on the bridge of the path we are walking.

It is fine if we do not necessarily know where to place our feet as we take a step. Part of our journey is not knowing what lies ahead. With courage, we allow ourselves to take a step in discovery. We allow ourselves to push past the fears that are lined up around us.

Taking the step gets us from the unfamiliar to the familiar in our lives. It is in the energy of that motion that we will find our power and strength to continue walking along our journey.
