Today, we are in for a major blast from the sun. Scientists are expecting a major solar flare to have finally reached the earth. I read that on a scale of 1 to 5 used to measure these solar flares, that this is expected to be a 3. This event should occur between January 24 to January 25, 2012.

It seems there is no immediate threat or pending doom to our civilization that will yield some apocalyptic end. Instead, from my understanding, we get things like this from time to time and they may cause an impact upon different parts of our world, but they are not life ending. This is expected to be one of the strongest since 2005.


It does appear that they can play havoc with air travel around the polar areas of our planet, electrical grids, electronic items and the astronauts on the International Space Station.

I am often intrigued though how solar flares impact our mind body. I have no scientific evidence or training to suggest that they do, or that they don't impact us. This is my speculation only and most likely there is research being conducted on this concept. I am just not familiar with any research and if you know of any, please feel free to contact me or comment below.

While I know that many are not aware of the mind body connection, it does exist. The more we can sense and connect our mind and body together, the more we become aware of things that most people overlook. It is not hard for me to imagine that a solar flare which could blast against the earth, has an impact on our mind and body. I could easily see where it affects our energy in one way or another.

For me to quantify these things would be stretching it and I'm merely speculating what my opinions are in this realm as I have no facts to back this up. Even if we are impacted for a brief moment in a brief way, I am intrigued that the sun which is millions of miles away from us, can alter life for a few moments.

We are so affected by many things in our life and while they may be significant, I don't believe that they control our life completely. It is up to each one of us to discover who we are and become more aware of our mind body connection. The more we know about our self, the more we can consciously choose to live in life. Solar flares are but one factor that we experience in our life.

I'll be interested to watch and see if there are any known effects felt here on earth during this experience with the sun. Most likely, life will go on and most of us will not even know when the solar flare reaches the earth.
