Why Horrible Things Happen In Certain Locations

I saw this blog entry published on www.edgarcayce.org and found it quite interesting. It isn't that I necessarily buy into all that is stated here. After all, it is this conclusion of this writers view of the facts that of course formed this particular blog entry. There is much good though that was written here and the overall, moral to the story at the end is probably the most important.

As Tina D. Ewin states,

Perhaps one of the lessons of the Villisca Ax murders would be to absolutely listen to that psychic sense that tells you that something doesn’t feel right about a location. Remove anger from your life and research the history of a location before you purchase, rent, or work in an area!
We attract what we are and what we think, and if what we are attracting is negative, then we must change our thoughts and our life. Only each one of us can make that karmically life-changing decision for ourselves.

As you will see if you read the blog entry, the little Iowa town of Villisca was the site of a tragic event. On June 12, 1912, an axe murderer killed all six family members in the house. The crime was never solved. After 100 years and several owners, no one lives in this old house.

According to the blog, the Fox Indian Tribe controlled this town that they called Willisca. Willisca was changed to Villisca because the name Villisca means evil place or the place of devil spirits. This house was located exactly over the spot where the Fox Indians sent their criminally insane family members.

Of course this is just part of the overall story and to really read and understand where the author is coming from, you do need to read the entire piece. So, I'll stop there and let you click on the following link "Why Horrible Things Happen In Certain Locations" by Tina D. Erwin as posted on the Edgar Cayce Blog.

Walking The Labyrinth

Until I met a friend of mine, I don't think I had ever truly heard what a labyrinth was all about. I knew they were some type of geometric pattern and they were beautiful in appearance but that's about all I knew. Then a friend of mine started to talk to me about these and I've begun learning the importance of them. In my post on April 27, 2010, I had my friend explain what a labyrinth was about and little did I know when we did that and she wrote it, that it was World Labyrinth Day on May 1, 2010. I thought this was very interesting because the timing of asking my friend to write about this coinciding with the World Labyrinth Day was no accident I'm sure. Below though is a video I saw posted from the Edgar Cayces A.R.E.

If you're not heard about Labyrinth before or were not fully aware of what they are, this is a great video that explains it in more detail. I was surprised to find that there are some of these around where I live. The following website has a World Labyrinth Locator where you can put in your address information and search for labyrinths near where you live.

Akashic Records, My Notes - Chapter 1

These are my notes from the following chapter. For the entire context, please read the following chapter in "Edgar Cayce on the Akashic Records by Kevin J. Todeschi"

Chapter 1
1) Karma is a sanskritt word that means work, deed or act or also it can mean "cause and effect".

2) According to Edgar Caycee, Karma is not about a debt that needs to be paid or a set of circumstances that must be encountered. It is simply patterns of memories. A pool of information from the past that the subconscious draws upon for the present. It has positive and negative parts to it.

3) Pg 11: In regards to Karma "To be sure, this subconscious memory has an effect and an influence upon how we think, how we react, what we choose, even how we look! But the component of free will is ever within our grasp."

4) Free will is always our choice. We may not always know where our thoughts originate or what experiences we have had but our choice in the present moment is ours. We have the free will to make whatever choice we so desire regardless of what we have been through in our past.

5) All people get to experience current situations that are based upon past or previous choices but what is important is how each person chooses to respond to the current situation. All experiences are for the opportunity of personal growth and awareness.
