I was watching a previous broadcast of an episode on OWN with Oprah interviewing Caroline Myss. Caroline Myss is the author of books such as the Anatomy Of The Spirit and Sacred Contracts. While I have heard of this author before, it is the first time I really became acquainted with her work and got to see her being interviewed. There were so many good parts from this episode and if you can, try searching them on google or YouTube. However, in this post, I'm going to focus on one important point that was discussed.
How do you know when you are on the right path? That was the question that Oprah posed to Caroline Myss. It is a question many people ask themselves. Her answer included the following points. First, have no judgement about your life. Second, have no expectations about your life. Third, give up the need to know what happens tomorrow.

Tomorrow Land
Recently on a trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, I enjoyed one of my favorite places in the park. The one area that I really enjoy is Tomorrow Land because it helps take us from our momentary existence and pushes forward into possibility. When you walk through there, you can't help but think of how things could be and the potential that exists in our world. You see, in my tomorrow land, there are many things that I hope will exist.
Peace is one of those things that I hope will exist in my tomorrow land. I want everyone to see each other with respect, acceptance and humility, rather than domination, control, and self-righteousness. I want to see people at peace within themselves, not using the war within them to view the rest of the world. For when we begin to understand who we are and find peace within ourselves, it is then that we can open up to the world. Please keep in mind that this is not a fake it until you make it approach, but one of true genuine peace within where you can connect your mind and body together as one.
Advancing where we are as humans is one thing I hope to see in tomorrow land. We all have so much potential, but it seems like we do the same things over and over every day of our life. We reinvent what already has been invented. We take the easy way out when it comes to creativity and problem solving. We just accept the status quo and go on with our lives, failing to connect with all that we are.

Yesterday Does Not Dictate Tomorrow
| Corey says yesterday does not dictate tomorrow! |
All too often we go through life carrying the emotional baggage of pains we have faced in our life from one day to the next day. Sometimes we are aware of this taking place and other times, we act as if our baggage is invisible. Many times we feel that we have dumped the baggage along the way, only to discover that we are still clinging to it.
Until we realize that we are carrying the baggage of yesterday, into the future of tomorrow, we'll never truly find our self. For if we keep carrying this baggage, then well become tired and weary as we struggle along. While we may attempt to convince our self and others that we have made it, there is a good chance that if we look at our hands, we'll see them clasped around our emotional pains.
We don't have to let yesterday dictate our tomorrow. In fact, we have the option at any time of growing and evolving through the painful emotions we once experienced. It is all up each one of us individually to do this. It is important to note that this is a process that unfolds with time, not a one time magic moment that makes everything disappear.

The Opportunity
The Storybook Of Our Lives,
One person once shared with me that each day we create a chapter in the storybook of our lives. We pick and choose what we desire to add to our storybook whether it is the choice of colors, the choice of words, thoughts or whatever it is - we make the choice. And each day that we bring our chapter to a close and we look back over it, we may find that it isn't all that we had hoped for. That is ok! For tomorrow, we have a new opportunity of writing another chapter in the storybook of our lives and we are free to make it into whatever we want it to be.
