A Willing Heart And An Open Mind

I'm touched by so many people, places, and events.   It amazes me just to see different parts of this planet that I live on.  The streets and sidewalks share stories that if you listen closely, you will hear their whispers.  The sky observes everything below as if it is much more than we can see. Every breath of air speaks volumes beyond the casual sentence.

I don't understand why people fight so much with one another.  I don't understand why there seems to be so much hatred displayed on TV and in the media.   It boggles my mind that all too often, our differences are highlighted, more than the oneness we share as human.

Maybe what I'm writing here seems all too liberal and as if I have my head in the clouds.  Anyone who feels that way is of course entitled to this view.  Unfortunately, I would disagree with that assessment and just ask if it is possible to step away from these walls that we put up and these beliefs we hold so tight in our life.

It just pains me to see humans take on the view promoted by the advertisement and marketing world in conjunction with the media and news purveyors.  It pains me to see us lose our creativity and humanness in lieu of things that really don't matter in life.

Even though I want to reach out to the cold hard stare of society, I am reminded again that there are others out there that do get it.  They see life through the eyes of openness and observation.  Many see the potential in what can be, rather than in what has not happened.

There's so much more to the world and life around us.  There's so much more to all that we can experience.  Its all for us to take and grasp and cling to.  It is all there for us to scoop up every bit of it that we can.  Nothing is needed to do this except a willing heart and an open mind.

  1. Contrast is a beautiful thing, isn't it and if there was no opposite to everything...we would not know what is good or bad? And it is a blessing to have the warm hearted and open minded people like ourselves also.. have a blessed month
