So, without further ado, here's Matt!
When I started my healing journey, I didn’t realize that I would be blogging and interacting through my writing with so many other people who are survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Yet, as I look back over the last year, I see that my writing is not only helping me survive, thrive and conquer – but its helping many other people.
Before this, I was writer for an NFL fan site, I did podcasts, wrote articles, game recaps, etc . While I enjoyed that and I’m grateful for the experience it gave me, I always found that I was lacking true fulfillment in my life. Like I was missing something….
One thing that I’ve learned in life is that as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, in order to survive, thrive, and conquer – you have to keep taking steps forward. Even when it gets tough and difficult during the day, there is a support network out there waiting with open arms.
In fact, I believe that if we help one another on and stand together, we can all rock this survivor journey of healing. It is together that we find strength and realize that we can do this!
My name is Matt and I’m a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and narcissistic abuse. You can find me writing, podcasting and live streaming on my blog, SurvivingMyPast.net . I also write a weekly column for The Good Men Project, and I published my first e-book you can download on Surviving Grief.
My mission is to inspire all who read to know that its okay to reach out for help and not be ashamed. Together we can do this!
