Hidden Messages

One of my favorite books is "The Hidden Messages In Water" written by Masaru Emoto. If you have seen the movie, "What The Bleep", you'll recognize his name as some of his images and work was highlighted in the movie.

Dr. Emoto was able to photograph frozen water crystals and how they changed when thoughts or words were directed towards the water. He found that water which had been exposed to words such as love produced a brilliant and complex beautiful pattern. On the other hand, if the water was polluted or exposed to words such as hate, the patterns were asymmetrical and there was no brilliance to the crystals.

In the book, he shows detailed pictures of some of his work and you can see first hand exactly what it is that he is getting to. I actually tried the rice experiment that he is famous for talking about and I too was amazed at the results. It doesn't take much for the water to absorb the qualities of its surroundings or the words that are directed to it.

If you stop and consider for a moment that our bodies are made up 70% water, than we have the possibility of being influenced much like the water experiments that Dr. Emoto did. Just think of how words such as hate, love, beautiful, idiot or others would affect the water and if they affect water, would they not do the same to the cells found in our own bodies? With this in mind, let us consider the words we not only use on ourselves but the words we direct towards others. May our words do positive things and may we all be better as a result.

Here's a video that explains a little more (but the book is a short read and well worth checking out if you have not read it).

Peppermint

Peppermint, an essential oil is an everyday oil ideal for invigorating the mind and other body systems.

Did you know?
  • That inhaling peppermint oil helps trigger a sense of fullness after meals, enhances your sense of taste and smell, and improves concentration and mental activity?
  • That peppermint has been studied for its positive effect on the liver and respiratory system?
  • Add a drop of peppermint oil to herbal tea to help aid in digestion.
  • Massage several drops of peppermint oil on the abdomen, place a drop on the tip of the tongue or wrists or inhale to soothe the minor stomach discomfort associated with travel.
  • Rub one drop of peppermint oil on the temples, forehead, over the sinuses (careful to avoid contact with the eyes) and on the back of the neck to help relieve head pressure.
  • Place two drops of peppermint oil on the tongue and rub another drop of oil under the nose to help improve concentration and alertness.
  • Apply peppermint oil to the back of the neck and shoulders throughout the day to keep energy levels up.
(taken from Pg. 6, Essential Lifestyle, Issue Vol 4, No. 1, March 2009 of Young Living)

Peppermint is one of my favorite essential oils. (That is good quality peppermint essential oil and not the cheaper imitation stuff sold in many stores). I always buy the Young Living Essential Oils because of the quality.

My Enteric Brain Journey, Sep 1, 2004

Here is an account of a session with Dr. Canali in 2004. My reason for sharing this from my journal are to help bring about awareness to all that is possible through this simple but deep form of healing. Please keep checking back for future postings from my journal.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

August 28, 2004
I was feeling pretty good since the last session with Dr. Canali. In fact doing the computer job this last week, I was much calmer in working with the computers and I felt much surer of myself when meeting new people. However today I started feeling the anger again and like I was in a place like a couple of weeks ago. This place was full of anger and sort of like I didn’t know where I was or who I was. It was just like I was spinning out in outer space somewhere. When I got my haircut, she washed my hair and I am not sure if that is what changed things or not, but I seemed to calm down after that. I know I have a lot of anger within me and I hope that one day very soon it will be gone.

September 1, 2004 – Session With Dr Canali
Whew... what a night, I'm exhausted! I told Dr. Canali that some days I feel at peace and then other days I feel like tornadoes are going off inside of me - rage, frustration, sucking the air out of me. Not fun when it bounces back and forth between these things. He adjusted my neck because after I fell the other day, I think I sort of put it out of place. It does feel better. I had a lot of shaking in my legs and it was like my legs locked on me and wouldn't move (just like when I got paralyzed and it was scary to me). Dr. Canali says that what I am experiencing is part of the process and I will trust him for now but it ain't easy! I wish I could go more often because it might help. Of course he told me today that I needed to use the ball more because my gut was a bunch of knots and couldn't take much work at all.

Are You Brainwashed?

I am constantly amazed when I just observe people and humanity, just how much we follow things without question. Of course, if you're reading this, I'm sure the first reaction is, others do this but not me for I know when someone is trying to get one over on me. However, I think we all follow to some degree without question.

For me when I grew up, I was heavily brainwashed in the ways of one particular church denomination. Now it wasn't like someone strapped me to a table and put electrodes into my brain forcing me to follow what they said. It was more subtle than that. It was much more subtle than that. The brainwashing occurred in small and tiny little pieces that were almost too small to see with the naked eye. I'm not sure a microscope would have picked it up either. These things were cloaked around acceptance into the group. The acceptance into the group was not that anyone was allowed or not allowed in the doors, but that once they were allowed in the doors, there was a degree to which people were accepted or somewhat shunned in the group dynamics. Yes, there were things that were stated outright in many of the sermons, but they were the overall structure given to the brainwashing.

While you may be ready to say, I know of churches that do this and focus on the churches, this is not where brainwashing stops. We are involved in it every day of our life whether it is in an office we work or a job that we go to. It could be in some organization that we are a part of or it could be a community we are aligned with in some manner. While some of these may not necessarily denote a horrible ideal of brainwashing, they are in fact imposing some of the same things. It is up to each individual to not follow the unspoken truths of each source that I mentioned without pause but to question that which is presented as truth. Questioning these things through the sensing of our bodies can be one of the most important truth detectors for us.

Let's go one step further though in where you might find brainwashing. Have you ever stopped to think what the advertisements on the internet or on TV are doing to you? They have the right music, the right beat, the right images and emotions depicted to implant in your mind, the need to buy or use whatever it is that they are offering. What about the news? You know the source that tells you everything that is going on in the country and supposedly the world. Have you ever noticed though that the percentage of raw news facts is a fraction of the overall reported opinion by whichever news host you're listening to? If you haven't, put your critical glasses on and watch the news. Let me know what you see because I'm sure it will be different than what you have seen before.

Even in the new age enlightenment camps of our society, there is brainwashing. Maybe it doesn't appear that way but if you look closely you will see it. They often replace so many of the ideals and concepts in churches for a "more enlightened" version as they would say. However, as long as you follow their truths, and their origins, you'll be fine. The minute you start to question these things, it will be proclaimed that you are just not enlightened or you still have a ways to go on your journey. There can be a lot of good in these new age things but make sure you're just not following them blindly. It is ok to question, to ponder and not be in agreement with them. That is part of our human experience. It is part of our growth and our journey.

We can also look at governments from the United States to those around the world. Have you noticed how close Chavez is taking Venezuela to socialism? Some may disagree with that but there have been many changes Chavez has done all in the name of helping people and yet I feel the people are blindly being led down a road that is going to close in on them one of these days. Yet, our own government, The United States has in effect brainwashed us. From having our freedoms eroded day by day to looking to the government to solve our problems, we are following blindly to every bit and morsel they feed us. I'm not talking politics here either as I'm pointing out just how much the government gets away with. Again, put on your critical glasses and take another look. Let me know what you see because I'm sure it will be different than what you have seen before.

There are many examples around us and much of what I'm sharing or what I see comes out of my own personal experience growing up in a family where my father was a master manipulator. It was so subtle, yet so powerful. It has taken me years to rid myself of those things and begin seeing life through a much more clear set of lenses.

One important thing to remember is that if you are told something, taught something or asked to follow something, make sure it fits. What I mean by that is if it feels like you're trying to shove a round peg in a square hole, than question it. If you hear the words or thoughts and your first gut reaction is to say, that doesn't add up, than question it. If you are being taught something or fed an offer of some sort, check it out in your body. What does your body say about it? How does your body react? If you quietly listen, you will understand what your body is saying. The body is one of the best truth reactors there is, that is if the fears of the past are not standing in the way. So, in addition to listening to your body, work to rid the body of the fears that distort what you are able to see through the lens of your life.

While you may be questioning many things around, know that sometimes the process doesn't unfold immediately before your eyes. This is not about correcting yourself because you are wrong but learning more about yourself and allowing yourself the understanding of what you may or may not see in this moment. There is not necessarily right and wrong in concepts such as this but allowance and awareness in the understanding of them. Questioning is a healthy thing to do and awareness is the key to growth.

Less Than Human

From July 2004 Enteric Brain Workshop with Dr. Paul Canali

Trauma, repetitive stress without release, change our biology, our chemistry, our bodies, minds, brains and nervous system. We become less than human, and begin to hurt ourselves and others. We lose the ability to communicate with our internal selves through our internal somatic awareness, enteric brain and spiritual brain. We begin to live in fear. Chronic fear destroys, leads to anger, depression, sickness, loss of faith and apathy. Only through release of these things can we restore the wholeness and health of our mind, body and spirit.

Gregg Braden: The Spontaneous Healing of Belief

From The Description on YouTube for this video: A growing body of scientific evidence suggests that our universe works like a Consciousness Computer. Rather than the number codes of typical software, our Consciousness Computer uses a language that we all have, yet are only beginning to understand. Life's reality code is based in the language of human emotion and focused belief. Knowing that belief is our reality-maker, the way we think of ourselves and our world is now more important than ever!

The power of belief is that literally rearranges the stuff, the atoms and the molecules that are world is made of to create the conditions of our romances, our abundance, of our healing, of our peace, the success of our careers. So as different as they appear from one another, their all linked through this language, this inner power of belief.

Chiropractic Documentary - Part 1

See the truth about Chiropractic and how much is possible with it. I've used Chiropractic at times in my life and it has helped greatly. Just like with medical doctors, there are good ones and bad ones. However, Chiropractic has a lot of possibility and potential. I've seen it work many times in myself and in others when medical doctors and medicine offered no relief. This is a part 1 of a 3 part series and is a very good source of information.

My Enteric Brain Journey, Aug 25, 2004

Here is an account of a session with Dr. Canali in 2004. My reason for sharing this from my journal are to help bring about awareness to all that is possible through this simple but deep form of healing. Please keep checking back for future postings from my journal.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There were a lot of tears last night in my session with Dr. Canali. When I was asked to describe what had gone on in the session for me, I described pain, hurt and more appropriately sadness. I felt like I was choking and I couldn’t get enough air. I recalled the time when I had inflammation in my chest as a kid and somehow that or the pattern of chest problems may tie in with this. It isn’t as important though I am learning to become aware of exactly what memory is behind everything as it is to just experience the emotion that comes up. Memories can sometimes cloud the actual experience of what is going on and distort the actual memory. I have been getting several tremors in my right thigh just above my knee and my left thigh. This is normal for the left thigh but unusual for the right. You can actually see the muscles shake in my leg like they are being stimulated. I feel like I have more armies to fight with me than fight against me right now.

Life On The Balance

Life is about balance. In fact, the universe is about balance. How many times do we stop to consider this in the grand importance that it holds?

Many different modalities, healing methods and philosophies address balance to one degree or another. Some have words for it as in eastern medicine like Ying and Yang or something may say that an individual is either not balanced or balanced. We've got all kinds of ways to describe this.

In nature, you see the balancing taking place because there is the hot to the cold, the summer to the winter, the storms to the tranquil days. You can see animals such as kittens race together, play together and then lay down and groom each other together in relaxation. It's all about balance.

I remember back in one of my high school biology classes where the teacher was telling us that all stress is not bad. Negative stress is just as valuable as positive stress in our lives. Without negative stress, we might just sit there and kind of be bumps on a log or never grow or basically just exist.

While negative stress is a good thing, please keep in mind that if we are inundated with negative stress constantly and we do nothing to discharge (or balance) the stress, than our bodies become something that we do not enjoy living in. We need that moment of discharge and that point of deep therapeutic relaxation for our bodies to bring us back towards the line of balance. On the other hand if all we ever had was positive stress (or 100% relaxation) all the time, than our bodies would not necessarily be pushed to evolve and grow. It is through those difficult moments, that when we find peace once again in our lives, we observe just how much we learned.

Let's not stop though in thinking that balance is just a matter of either being stressed out or being in a state of relaxation. That would be too simplistic and somewhat miss the point of balance in our lives. In our bodies, there is a master healing system and when one gets in touch with this and allows it to take over, our body can transform in ways we are not even aware of. It is a wonderful system that helps us discover new things about ourselves, heals our bodies and sets us on a forward path of being human, being conscious and having awareness.

Imagine bringing the body into a state of relaxation or surrender. You may also call it letting go. Whatever descriptive word fits, use it. In this state, the body and the nervous system knows and detects that it is in a safe and trusted place. It is a state where the connection between the mind and the body are one and they are working together. However, this state may not necessarily discharge that negative stress that has built up in our bodies. So while the relaxation is wonderful and the connection is great, without the discharge there is no room for total peace within our bodies.

Keeping all of this in our minds, what if we revved up the body's reaction, with it still being in this safe and trusted place, to push us to the point where we allow ourselves to go in and discharge that negative stress which is residing in our body. It would be then, that we would find a more total and deep moment of peace, not only in our bodies, but in our mind. It is truly a moment of deep healing within us because the negative stress had resided in our body as negative energy. It is potential energy just waiting to be freed and when it is free, the potential for transformation is off the charts. The negative stress or trapped energy no longer holds us back, drains our energy and causes all kinds of health conditions. It gives us one of the greatest gifts we could ever give ourselves in life.

Unfortunately too many times, our culture has taught us that we need to flee from the pain, the hurts, the negative stress in our lives. When in reality, we need to embrace it and go deep into it because at that moment, our lives will be transformed. It is in the balance and the discharge of the negative stress that we find peace, fulfillment and a greater awareness about our lives.

Happy Endings NOT

Like many other massage therapists, there comes a moment when a client or potential client feels that a massage is nothing more than something sexual. Some may just assume since you are a massage therapist that it is a front for some type of sexual business. Some may refer to it as a massage with a happy ending. There are many different ways and forms that this takes from the very subtle to the outright direct requests.

I do know some massage therapists will cave in to the pressure of extra money while disregarding their ethics, morals and the real purpose they most likely wanted to learn massage. In fact, I remember one former massage therapist telling me of one of his adventures that he bragged about until I said, look - I don't want to hear it! Fortunately he is no longer a massage therapist.

It wasn't easy for me to bring this up on this blog because I'd like to pretend in many ways that it does not exist or it only exists in a few cases. Yet, I know and I get confronted with it even if it is in a somewhat joking manner. I did not go into massage to do things sexually for others. I am so repulsed by that thought that I can barely find a coherent sentence to say what I want to say.

My father used to get me to always massage his neck or back when I was a kid. While I now am understanding that I had a special touch and sense in my hands, it was how my abilities got mangled up into something I had no desire to do that caused great distress for me. While the initial request to massage his neck or back which hurt, was most likely legitimate, there were times that it led to things, no child should ever have to do with a parent. And for many years, the healing ability that I was given was mixed up with the not so good things I endured. It took a long time to get myself to the point of being able to go to massage school and learn this skill without the sexual stuff trying to take place.

One of the types of body work I prefer is the modalities that allow the person to keep their clothes on. I'm so much more comfortable working with someone in this way than having a draped but unclothed person lying on a massage table. Maybe the triggers of my past are still very prevalent. I have found that I can be just as effective through the clothes of someone as I can without the clothes. There is no difference for me in that. And it allows me to escape past some of the sexual innuendos and games that too many want to play when getting a massage.

More importantly though than my own triggers that I face is that so many in our country do not understand what massage is really about nor what it means to live in our bodies. To be touched in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental way is one of the most healthiest things we can give our bodies. Yet, many of us have been taught that to be touched is something that is equal to sex and sex is touch. While that may be true, touch in its purest form is what should be the norm in our society. There are so many examples of this around us if we only open our eyes and look at them.

I'm here to say, that if you allow yourself to be touched in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental manner, your life will positively change in many ways. The knowledge that we can gain from ourselves through touch and the metamorphosis that can take place are far greater gifts than we could ever give ourselves. Touch may be a part of sex but wholesome touch is not sex, it is much greater than that.

My hope is that anyone reading this will be a little more informed as to what massage is and what it is not. Most massage therapists do not like to have clients confuse sex and massage because it diminishes the gifts they have. Those massage therapists that do cross the lines are not only violating the code of ethics they adhere to as part of their license but they are degrading one of the most basic human concepts which is touch. Please don't fool yourself or others into thinking that crossing the line is ok.

If you do not get regular massage or bodywork done, you are missing out on so much. The body is a storehouse of so much information and sometimes that brief moment of touch can yield so much for our lives. It can truly be a beautiful thing if we allow it to be. If you're unsure about what massage should be or have questions, please feel free to ask me. I'll do my best to answer it.

Learning Lessons

I am amazed at how events in our daily schedule can bring out connections to things we experienced so long ago. Current and past events may be completely different in the details, but they do impact each other. It is our unique opportunity to be given the chance of learning from them. We do have the option of ignoring what lesson is being given to us or we have the opportunity to see what we can learn from it.

Abundance Blessings

It was truly one of those days. Just hours earlier, I was really feeling pretty roughed up in life, struggling to make sense of some things. They tend to be normal things, but nevertheless they are my beloved and hated twins. Most of the time, I can tough it out, act strong and act as a man while muddying through it. This day though, things were just building a little too much for me.

So I had some alone time and I sat and talked to the angels, as I call it. Most people may think I am a little strange here or if they saw me, they might think I was really losing my marbles because it would appear I was talking with no one. Call it what you may or what you must, but to me it is talking to my angels.

Anyway, I expressed my concerns, frustrations and anger. Normally, I don't hold back and I just say it as I see fit. It is what seems natural and normal to me. I do remember when people used to tell me in church, you shouldn't get mad and scream at God. Oh really, well if God or the angels or the universe (however you look at it) isn't big enough to handle all of this, than they really aren't that powerful and wonderful in my eyes. I digress though.

So yesterday we went to check out a massage school. I wanted to make another contact in the area, get a small bottle of massage oil and check on CEU classes. While we were getting ready, a thought popped in to my mind to go to the store, Guitar Center, and see about an audio interface for recording music. You see, since I got my new laptop, I have been struggling to record music from my keyboard on it with a good quality sound. When I bought the laptop, little did I know that together, Dell and Microsoft and the Recording Industry, would try to prevent something as simple as this. I've spent more hours than I want to think of trying to resolve this.

Anyway, back to the journey. The massage school was different than what I was used to and no classes were in session but I found the massage oil I wanted and got some information. It was a nice connection but I really do miss the school I went to.

We then headed to Guitar Center and when I showed the sales person what I was after, he said, that is not going to do well for what you are doing. I'm like, ok.. so what will that isn't real expensive because some of these items get pretty expensive. He pulled out a cheaper one but it would only allow me to record one channel in stereo which wasn't ideal. Than I asked him, what is the best solution and he pulled out another which was about $50 more. I'm thinking ok.. I record music. I want to do this and I want it to be right. Of course, the business account didn't have enough to cover it but there's always plastic right. So I then wasn't really thinking but noticed I asked him if there was a discount for a couple of places connected to my music distribution. He said no on the one but went to the computer, punched in a few keys and said, I can give you a discount of $25. I'm like...cool. I'll buy it! Later when I checked online, neither of these music services I mentioned had any discount with this place. He didn't have to give me the discount but he did. I'll finish the rest of that story in a moment.

So on the way home, I got a call from a good friend of mine who works with Dr. Canali. I've been struggling lately to find others who are consciously aware of life in the way that I am and Dr. Canali is. I've missed him and my friend a lot and I just needed that connection. Right now, to make a trip to Miami, hotels are at the peak of the season and are extremely expensive. So it really isn't an option at the moment. Anyway I found out they were coming to a place about 90 miles from us this weekend to do a seminar/workshop for another therapist I know. I'm like...smiles, hi 5's and the whole works! Just to reconnect with them and be around this will be worth more than a government bailout package! I had tears in my eyes just knowing that I would get to see them again. These are two people who have been with me through so much and next to Jeff, they hold a very special place in my heart.

Anyway, I got home and told Jeff I needed to try the massage oil out. Of course he happily agreed to letting me try it out on him. I gave him a 45 minute back massage which I haven't done on anyone in some time. I was kind of amazed that I still remembered what to do but when I finished, you could see it in his face that not only did he enjoy it but he was relaxed. A big confidence booster it was just knowing that I still had the touch.

So on through the rest of the story. I got home and started to hook up the new audio interface to my computer not really sure what I was doing. Jeff helped me with moral support. And then it happened! I recorded the first sounds through the new device and when I listened to the recorded sound, I was blown away. The sound was so crisp, clear and of a quality that I had never heard come out of a recording before. It was beautiful and I have a feeling this will give me the added edge my music has been lacking. I knew it was missing something but I didn't realize what I had been missing all this time. I'm glad I struggled through this issue and ended up buying the device that I bought. It was like it was meant to be and I was just a little slow to figure it out!

As I was thinking though when I went to bed last night, so many things happen in our days and if we're not careful, they will pass us by without even noticing them. The joys from yesterday were great and were the pick me up, I needed. They were the confidence booster, the new insight, the revolutionized way of creating future music! They were examples of knowing that I'm not alone and that I have so much support out there. It was a day of letting me know, that they, the angels, are listening. Indeed it was an abundant day of blessings.

Benefits Of Massage

Many of us enjoy a nice relaxing massage but all too often, we wait for a vacation or a special holiday to receive a massage. I've seen the benefits in myself of getting regular bodywork done and sometimes I don't always get the work done that I should on myself.

Did you know just how healthy a massage can be for you? Consider the following benefits of massage.

- Increase joint flexibility
- Reduce spasm and cramping
- Lessen depression and anxiety
- Help alleviate low back pain
- Enhance your body's immunity
- Improve circulation and healing in your body
- Deal with stress better

There are many different types of massage and bodywork but any type of bodywork is a healthy thing for your body. Our society tends to follow conventional thinking when dealing with health where we look to medical doctors for prescribed treatments to our problems. While there is a place for this, we will have a greater effectiveness, if we find ways to prevent these ailments from coming to us in the first place. You may not realize it, but our bodies have a miraculous way of healing themselves and by taking care of ourselves in the proper way, we can fend off so much sickness.

So why not find a good massage therapist and get yourself a massage? You'll not only feel happier, but your life will be more healthy because of it.

Cats Live In The Moment

Have you ever noticed how a cat lives in the moment? They don’t necessarily worry about where they are going to find food tomorrow or the next day or what activities they will do. There are no long term planned out goals and no events they have to attend. There aren’t made up to do lists and deadlines. They just live in the moment.

While we as humans maybe cannot live our lives completely as if a cat does, there are many things we can do to live in the moment. Often as humans, we put so many demands upon ourselves and we create more work and stress for ourselves than in all reality is needed. Consider for a moment everything you do in a day. What is the purpose of it? Is it all necessary? Yes, there is the shopping, the taking care of a family, performing your career duties and interacting with friends. That is all true.

However, again I ask, is it all necessary? And if it is, could there be another way to do things? What about a way with more ease, simplicity and focus? What if you stopped for a moment and considered all you had to do, letting the full breadth of your creativity and analytical abilities ponder what was before you? Perhaps, this would be a better way to make it through your day.

We often react to situations as they come at us and in those moments, the stress and tension is higher than if we were in a relaxed state. What if we just paused for a moment and looked at the situation? Where might that get us? I would suggest that the outcome of taking a pause in the moment would get us further than just reacting to what was going on and trying to solve the situation immediately. Sure, there are times, when time is of the essence and so as we think about this, let us keep that in perspective.

As I go back to watching a cat, I see just how they live in the moment. When they feel like eating, they eat. When they want to play, they play. When they want to sleep, they sleep. It is purely in the moment. They are for the most part, tuned into what their body needs. While we as humans cannot live like cats do, we can take pauses in our own life and focus on living in the moment every chance we get. We could experience life from living in the moment if we allowed ourselves to do this.

Living in the moment can come in all forms no matter how busy you are in a day. There can be the step outside the office door for two minutes, to take a deep breath of fresh air and allow yourself to feel it as it fills every cell of your body. There can be the 30 seconds sitting at your desk just allowing yourself to focus on your breathing and feel how all of it fills every sense of your being. Maybe a stand up and stretch during your day in a busy office can allow you to connect with that body you live in all 24 hours of the day. Of course these are just examples in a busy day for you to stop, pause and enjoy a moment of living in life.

For me, I try to mix in my day many different ways of pausing. To each person, the many possibilities will be different from person to person. I can be at home with myself as I’m working in a garden, feeling every grain of soil as I connect with the earth which to me is a source of strength and grounding. As the sun warms my body, I can feel revived again throughout every functioning cell of my body. It may be just a stroll down the street in the evening air or a ride through the country. It might be stopping at listening or observing the birds flying around me or seeing the ripples through the trees and lake of my favorite local park. Sometimes it is sitting by the window with my cat in my arms observing the wind moving the trees through the air without effort. It could even be a simple moment listening to some beautiful music that takes my mind away from the busy moments in my day. There are so many examples that I could give and I’m sure in your own life, you will be able to find those simple things. Treat it as a treasure hunt and see all of the great gifts we have waiting just waiting for us to accept them.

I remember when I was going to massage school at Educating Hands and working full time. School was 3 nights a week plus often one of the weekend days and work was at least 8 hours a day. Between school and studying along with daily life activities, there was not much time left for anything else. One of the things I did was to take Yoga on Saturday mornings. Sure, it took a couple of hours or so by the time I traveled there and took the yoga class. Often I would wonder if I was making good use of my time until the class was over and I would see the benefits. Yoga would give me a time of just stopping, clearing my mind and connecting with my body. The rest of the day, I would be much more productive than I would have been if I had not gone to yoga. Just stopping and taking a pause offers us so much. Indeed it offers us life!

I hope you will join me in finding pauses and moments of stillness in our days. Whether it is something elaborate or something very simple, may we all find a way to stop, clear our mind and just connect to the bodies we inhabit 24 hours a day. For if we all do this, we will have given our days, our bodies and our lives so much life!
